"When my wife and I bought our house, Trent (McKones Electrical) came in prior to possession to work through what needed to be done. We found that not only was he quite knowledgeable, professional, and beyond trustworthy every step of the way, but his experience personally and professionally meant that he wasn't just thinking about our electrical needs alone. At no cost!
Add to this that the bill I got, for all the work that was done, and all the additional work that needed to be done to bring things up to code, and the high quality materials used for every item. Well, it was not only fair, but made it feel like we had just received the biggest gift we could have possibly received. Not only did we feel like everything Trent touched was flawless, but we didn't have to pay "through the nose" for the work.
So, all this said, I recommend Trent and McKones Electrical because this company is unique . I first hired Trent to replace light fixtures in my kitchen and front entry hall and basement hall light. He did the job efficiently and cleaned up after. I then hired Trent to replace old pot lights with new light fixtures. He suggested I use led light fixtures which I didn't realize were available. He replaced them promptly and left the area he was working clean and in order. I will definitely hire him again.

No exaggeration, McKones probably prevented our house from burning down.
Had a contracting company (not connected to McKones) do some minor renovations, which included electrical work, and then started noticing all kinds of problems, probably because their guy wasn’t a licensed electrician. Gave McKones a call and they were able to schedule us in very quickly.
Trent came out and did a fantastic job identifying and fixing problems with incorrect wiring and wrong wire nuts in our junction boxes (we have aluminum wiring) and in our attic. We also asked him to look at our electrical panel and he had all the equipment to check for hot spots and check for other problems. We’re immensely grateful that he found a breaker that had been arcing and he replaced it immediately (see the scorch mark in the photo of the breaker he removed), as given enough time it probably would’ve burned down our house. All that at a competitive price.
We were really impressed with how detail-oriented Trent was and will definitely call McKones again when we need electrical work done in future.
